Life Reflections

Willahemenia was born in Williamsburg County December 6, 1956, to the late Mrs. Julia Ann and Mr. Heyward Rose.

Willahemenia received her education by attending the public schools in Hemingway, South Carolina.

Willahemenia did private setting for many years because giving back and helping others is what she loved to do. she retired from the Lake City Scranton Healthcare after thirty plus years  and we thought that she was going to sit down well let me tell you she didn’t. She started working at the Laundry Basket in Scranton, South Carolina until her health declined.

Willahemenia accepted Christ in her life at a young age. A willing worker and member of the the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Scranton, SC under the leadership of Rev. Eugene Burgess.

Willahemenia served as the president of the auxiliary choir, and she was also on the Usher Board, and she loved both so much.She was a dedicated worker.

For the most she was called by her name given at birth Willahemenia

For the family She was called Menia

Willahemenia met the love of her life Mr. Bryan Myers(deceased) they decided to get married in Holy Matrimony and they were United for over twenty plus years.

Preceded in death by her husband Bryan Myers. Her parents Mrs. Julia Ann Rose & Mr.Heyward Rose. One sister Ms. Lula Mae Mac Donalds; Three brothers: Zeno Rose, Johnny Rose, Lewis Rose.

Willahemenia leaves to cherish her memories: Two sons Mr. Jadon McGill of the home, Mr. Ronald “Zakiya “Rose of Chester, VA. Grandchildren she reared as her own Ms. Courtney Hanna, Ms. Lyric McGill, Mr. Jarvin McGill, Ms. Jada McGill all of Manning, SC; Mr. Jhyden McGill, Ms. Ethan Nero, Ms. Emani Wilson all of Olanta, SC; Three stepdaughters: Ms. Sherry Moses, Ms. Shayla Moses of Bishopville, SC;Ms. Tia Myers of  Lake City, SC; 17 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren

Her Siblings: Mr. Ruben “Betty Rose” of Scranton, S.C., Ms. Patty Ann of Pewaukee. Mr.  Jobe (Peggy) Rose of Winston Salem; Mr. Sugar (Willahemenia) Rose of Winston Salem; Mr. Clifton (Carolyn) Rose of Winston, Salem; Mrs. Lucille (Badreldin) Elsheikh of Pewaukee, Flodria. Mr. Roosevelt (Catherine) Washington of Lake City, S.C., Mother-in-law Mrs. Ann Myers of Lake City, S.C.; Five sisters in laws: Dr. Myra (LeRone) Ball of Maryland, Ms. Lisa Adams of Lake City, SC., Mrs. Rowling (Gordon) Fulmore of Lake City, SC; Ms. Angela Myers of Florence, SC; Mrs. Shelia (Hillie) Weaver of Florence, SC, Mrs. Virginia Rose of Lake City, SC; Four Brother in laws: Mr. Chris (Kavadious) Myers of Florence, SC. Mr. Darren, Thaddeus, David Myers all of Lake City, SC,

Willahemenia has two bonus daughters in love: Mrs. Eula Wilson of Olanta,SC, Mrs.Maretta Abraham of Columbia, SC; One bonus Nephew Zeno Rose Jr. of Lake City, SC.

Willahemenia loved all her family and friends dearly but hastwo friends she took for sisters. Ms. Mattie Singletary and Mrs. Rowlinda Fulmore . A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including her McLeod Health Care work family.
