Life Reflections

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Mr. Tyrone Prince Singletary affectionately known as “ T- Dub” was born March 9, 1986, in Florence, South Carolina to Debbie (Steve) Cunningham and the late WT Prince. God in His infinite wisdom summoned home the soul of Mr. Tyrone Prince Singletary on Monday, May 27, 2024.

We can only imagine how he is showing off his talent of singing by singing one of his favorite songs “What God Has For Me is For Me”. Tyrone always greeted you with that beautiful smile and those pearly white teeth. T- Dub had a way of making you feel special whenever you met him, whether it be with a song, dance or just hello. Tyrone’s smile not only lit up a room and the hearts of those in it. That smile also stole the hearts of his aunts. He never left the presence of his aunts without telling them how much he loved them. Being around Tyrone was never a dull moment because he loved to clown around and make others laugh. You would always know when he was present by the laughter in the room. His favorite saying whenever speaking about his mother was “Mann y'all get Debb now!” That was his way of saying I love you mom.

Tyrone attended the Florence County Public Schools and graduated from Lake City High School Class of 2004. Tyrone had a love of cars and fixing them became a passion he enjoyed for many years. Although being an auto mechanic was dear to his heart Tyrone decided he wanted a career change and enrolled in Florence Darlington Technical College where he earned a certificate in welding. This career change earned him the opportunity to travel and work as an avid welder from State to State. Tyrone was an outstanding and hardworking welder at Coles Sheet Metal Effingham, South Carolina, until the time of his death.  He attended New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Jack Peterson.

Tyrone is preceded in death by his father the late Mr. WT Prince. His maternal grandparents Mrs. Lillie Ruth Hudson and Mr. Henry Lee, paternal grandparents Mr. Alex Prince & Mrs. Retha Brown Prince. One uncle Mr. Jerry Singletary and one aunt, Ms. Mazell Prince.
