Life Reflections Today, we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Mary Nell Graham Fulton. Many of you knew her as Mary Nell, the cherished daughter of Scarlet Ann McFadden McClam and William Lee Graham, and the beloved wife of Benjamin “Moot” Fulton. Mary Nell was a nurturing mother to ten children, leaving a legacy of love and resilience. We fondly remember Mary Nell’s reflections on her second-born, Charlotte Danielle Porter, who tragically passed away as an infant. Mary Nell always spoke of Charlotte’s beauty and cherished their brief moments together, holding onto the precious memories they shared. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter Charlotte, her husband Benjamin “Moot” Fulton, her parents Scarlet Ann McClam and William Lee Graham, and her brother Eugene McClam. Despite these profound losses, Mary Nell’s spirit remained unbroken, and her capacity for love undiminished. She devoted her life to raising her ten children: Leon (Jennea) Porter, Carlos (Karen) Porter, Larry Wilson, Carlton (Ceceria) Harris, Vernell Harris, Benyel (Joshua) Fulton-Hammond, and Bernell (Jihad) Fulton-Jami, along with two adopted children, Kamari Granger and Kiah Clark, embracing them as her own. Additionally, she had a stepdaughter, Alexia Fulton. Her love extended to her 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom brought immense joy and fulfillment to her life. Additionally, she had many dear friends, among them included Rosalee McMillian, Sharron Warner, Sandra Brown, Linda Crosby, Justin “Cricket” McFadden and Loraine Wilson. As the eldest of ten siblings, Mary Nell was a guiding light to her four sisters: Leila Jacobo, Jannie Hughes, Laura Turner, and Karen McClam; and her five brothers: Curtis, Levi, John Earl, Rollin, and Eugene McClam. Her leadership and love cemented the bonds of family, creating a legacy of unity and strength.
