Life Reflection
Mary Elizabeth Brown Graham was born on June 6, 1926 to the late Gus and Lisa Brown of Lake City, South Carolina.
Mrs. Mary Graham, affectionately known as “ Handful”, received her education in the public school system of Williamsburg County. At an early age, she professed her faith and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of St. John United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mary had unwavering faith and even unto her final hour she did not let go of the savior’s hand
She was joined to holy matrimony to the late Ernest Graham Sr., and from their union (7) children were born.
Most of Mrs. Mary’s adult life was spent as a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a terrific cook and took pride in serving her family good tasting meals. Delicious cakes and pies were her signature dishes for fellowship and church functions.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gus and Lisa Brown. Two children Ernest Graham Jr, and Allen Graham all from Lake City, S.C.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Lillie Fleming, Shelly Graham, Christine Graham all of Lake City, S.C; Karen(Tom) Cooper of Hemingway, SC; O’Neal (Annie)Graham of Lake City, S.C. A daughter-in-law Hazel Graham of Lake City, SC; A grandson raised as a son, Danny (Jeannie) Graham of Sumter, SC; a special friend, Joyce Ann Burgess of Lake City, SC; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
