A star which once shined brightly, has become dim, it’s light no longer of heaven With the dimming of this star went the light of our beloved Irvin McMilian on Monday afternoon, January 8, 2024 at MUSC Charleston, in Charleston, South Carolina.
Irving McMillian was born on Angust 31, 1959 in Florence County to the late Maxie and Catherine McMillian.
He received his formal education in Lake City, South Carolina and gradated in the year of 1977. He worked for Willis Construction, Apes, Palmetto Paving, Badcock, and The City of lake City, South Carolina for many years upon retiring.
On August 21, 1999, the former Irving McMillian was joined in holy matrimony to the late Lille Bell Washington McMillian. God bless this union with one daughter.
"Deadeye” as he was affectionately called will be remembered as a sports fanatic.particularly in football. His favorite team was the Miami Dolphins. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, the late Lillie Bell Washington McMillian; a brother, Maxcell McMillian;and a sister Barbara “Bobbie”Jean (Albert) Smalls
Loved ones who will continue his legacy are: a devoted daughter, Chanthanard McMillian, of Florence, South Carolina; a son, Jovan McMilian of Lake City, South Carolina; six admiring grandchidren:
Chimere McMilian, Kitelyn McMillian,Bentley McMilian, Ava and Aubrey Brown of Florence, South Carolina, and Klaire McMillian of Columbia South Carolina; a caring brother, Michael McMilian of Lake City South Carolina; three faithful sisters: Lula M. Hannah, Helen (William) McMillian both of Florence, South Carolina, and Evangelist Roy Lee Wilson of Lake City, South Carolina; two aunt Rebecca (Larry) Hannah of Lake City, South Carolina, and Patricia Cooper of Florence, South Carolina; one uncle, Albert SJ (Barbara) Anderson:two brotber-in-(lawPamela) Washington of Florence, South Carolina;eight sister-in-law:
