Reflections of a Life Well Lived

There is an inevitable hour of peace that comes to everyone.

That hour came to Helen Diane McFadden on Saturday, March 2, 2024, when she made her peaceful transition to her heavenly home. Helen was born March 30, 1953, in Williamsburg County, SC to the late Charlie and Geneva McFadden.

Helen loved life.

She was truly devoted to her children and grandchildren, and she was their biggest fan. Helen taught her family the importance of God, loving and protecting cach other, coming together and hard work.

She carned the respectand friendship of many. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, playing cards, shopping gardening, and traveling.

She spoke her mind and gave excellent advice. Helen truly had a big heart and always made everyone feel like they were her favorite.

When you think about Helen you think of love.

Helen was a machine operator for many years working for various companies such as Ayers and Talon Manufacturing, and Lazyboy furniture.

She also worked as a patient care professional and switch board operator at Florence County Disability and Special Needs Board. After retirement, she provided administrative support to Sutton Plumbing in Lake City, SC.

Helen was a faithful member of Lake Point United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

She was Chairperson of Pastor Parish Relations Committee.

President, and Treasurer of United Methodist Women (UMW).

Treasurer for Women of Faith, bible study teacher and a member of both the UMW and gospel choirs. She served on the finance, decoration, revival planning and kitchen committees.

Her love and legacy will live on through her devoted children: Clinton (Tasia-Fiancée) McFadden of Salem, OR; Timothy (Samantha) McFadden of Morristown, TN; six grandchildren: Natojah, Gabrielle, Eli, Liam of Salem, OR; Isabella and Moses of Morristown TN;
