Life Reflections

Gilbert Robert Anderson affectionately known as "Ganja" enter eternal rest on December 6, 2023 at his home in Lake City, South Carolina. He was born on August 13, 1961 in Central America, Belize. He was the 9th son out of 11 children to the late Gilbert Anderson and Ileen Twist and was raised by his grandmother Czaiyah Boarding.

While growing up in Belize, Gilbert enjoyed biking, soccer, and fishing. He also picked up the trade of carpentry. After receiving his education Gilbert moved to New York to pursue a career in aircraft mechanic. Later he moved to Lake City, South Carolina, where he became a husband, a father, a master carpenter, and a mentor to many.

Lasting memories of Gilbert Anderson's life are left in the hearts of his loving wife:

Tracy Anderson of Washington, DC; very close friend, Loretta Harris of Brooklyn, NY; four beautiful daughters: Czaiyah Harris of Brooklyn, NY, Kyaia Anderson of Wilmington, DE, Jaleesa Gaskins of Lake City, SC, Samantha Gaskins of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Yvonne (Curtis) McNeal of Wilmington, DE, and Jayana (Terrence) Witherspoon of Fountain Inn, SC; one nephew, Nygel Witherspoon of Fountain Inn, SC; two nieces, Courtnee McNeal of Florence, SC, and Leena Witherspoon of Fountain Inn, SC; six grandsons: Choice Cooper, Keiston Cooper, August Cooper, Noah Cooper, Nassan Walker, and Maverick Cooper; eight extended brothers: Corey Fuller, Elton Johnson, Kelvin Williams (Williams family), Jamie Cooper,James Alston, Adrian Nesbitt, Darrius Gould, and Jerry Nesbitt.
