He never took a salary because he felt that God blessed him to financially to take care of his love ones. Dallas was part of the NAACP in Lake City, helped establish the Cameron Town Community Center and one of the initial people to establish the Sandhill Cemetery. Dallas started his entrepreneurial spirit early in life. He would purchase a bulk of socks and sell them individually at a profit. As he got older, he began working in concrete to later establish his own business. You will find his work from Connecticut, to New York, to Florida, to Texas, to Panama and Cuba just to name a few. He continued to work well into his 70s and early 80s. Dallas never knew a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor. If you ever met him for the first time, you feel like you've known him forever.
