Life Reflections Chanda Powell daughter of the late Albertha Powell and late James Zimmermann was born on July 17, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in the loving home of her mother and Grandparents in Lake City, SC. She departed this life on March 12, 2024. Chanda was a wonderful, dedicated, loving and supportive Daughter, Cousin, and Friend. She was a lover of life, she inspired the hearts of many people both near and far, through her determination, strength and unconditional love and compassion. She had the ability to speak what was on her mind in a way that you would have understood. She was always willing to give a helping hand when needed. Chanda received her formal education within the Florence County public school system. After Graduation she went on to Florence Darlington Technical College where she obtained her Associated Degree in Applied Sciences as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Chanda started her professional working history at Lake City Hospital System for 16 years. She then transferred to Carolina Hospital System of Florence SC, MUSC of Florence until her passing. Chanda was preceded in death by her Mother Albertha Powell and Father James Zimmermann and her grandparents Albert and Sallie Powell. Chanda leaves to cherish her precious memories, mourn their loss and celebrate her life Monique Pollard, a special family friend of the home; a special cousin, Corneil (Brenda) Mayes; a god-brother, Lee G Jefferson; a host of cousins; her MUSC Family; and other relatives and special friends.
