Life Reflections
Brenda Mary Cooper was born to Clara Hannah and Joseph Cooper, Sr. on December 25, 1963. Making her presence in this world an extra special gift indeed.
"Bren"
she was affectionately known was reared in Brooklyn, New York, but enjoyed summers in the south where she called home. She attended the public schools of Brooklyn and she graduated from Clara Barton high school in 1976. Brenda continues to further her education, and attended NYU and receive her bachelor's of science and business administration. Soon after she acquired her credentials as a New York City correctional officer
the New
York City Department of
correction Academy. She was recognized by the state of New York, receiving the highest honors in regard to her position. She remains employee until September 11 World trade center attacks where officers were located. Ultimately becoming an iconic survivor this unfortunate tragedy accelerated her retirement and relocation, home to South Carolina. Survived but not unharmed.
Bren never met a stranger. Never saw a problem she couldn't fix or a song she couldn't dance to. Brenda accepted the Lord it's our life in the early 2000 and continued to worship the Lord even in the Mist of her illness. She laid the foundation and set the standard bar for her family to carry style and grace.
December 21, 2023, at 3:00 PM Thursday afternoon read to her the trumpets of God's Army call her name with the Lord as she gained her wings nestled and well cared for in the home of her daughter Phylicia and son-in-law Jimmy after a long battle with PTSD and early onset, dementia with seizures results of the 911 trauma.
