Barbara Ann Thomas Rodriguez, 70, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 8, 1955. Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She treasured her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue for generations. Barbara was a strong, loving, and kind-hearted woman whose presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone around her. 

    She always had a way of making people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. Her strength carried her through life’s challenges, and her love for her family remained at the center of everything she did. Barbara found joy in the simple things that mattered most, spending time with family, gathering with loved ones, sharing laughter, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. She especially loved dancing, and whether it was at a family gathering, celebration, or simply enjoying the moment, she could always be counted on to bring a smile and a little extra joy to those around her. 

    She is survived by her beloved husband, Edwin Cruz Rodriguez Sr.; her daughter, Hillery Cruz Rodriguez King; and her son, Edwin Cruz Rodriguez Jr. She also leaves to cherish her memory her 11 grandchildren: 6 from Hillery and Tommy Sr are Antonia, Antonio, Tommy Jr., Timothy, A’nya, Trey, and 5 from Edwin Jr are Derrick, Tamara, Kamaya, Elijah and Sky Barbara was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Syncere, Sy’air, and Sy’ana, the children of Antonia and Akeem Rainey. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Willie James Thomas Sr. and Louise McCray Thomas. She leaves behind her loving siblings: Willie Mae Thomas Scott, Johnnie Pearl Thomas, Margie Thomas, and Laverne Thomas. She was preceded in death by her siblings Helen Thomas, Willie James Thomas Jr., and Marion Thomas. Barbara also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. Barbara’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
