Thomas McFadden

Mr. Thomas Anthony McFadden, son of the late Mr. Thomas Murdaugh and Esther Mae McFadden, was born August 31, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. He passed into a peaceful rest on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at MUSC Health in Florence, South Carolina.

Tommy, as he was affectionately called, attended the public schools of Williamsburg County and was a graduate of Cades Hebron High School of Cades, SC in 1981. After high school, he attended South Carolina State College of Orangeburg, SC and then later joined the United States Army.

At an early age, he joined Bethesda United Methodist Church in Cades, South Carolina where he was a member of the Youth Choir and Usher
Board.

Tommie was united in Holy Matrimony to Sarah Thomas. To this union, they were blessed with one son, Cedric Thomas McFadden, Jr.
As a young man, he worked as a Barber and serviced numerous clients. He also worked at Wellman Industries and Nan Ya Plastics for several years.

He was preceded in death by: one brother, Brett Dewayne McFadden.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memories; his son, Cedric Thomas McFadden, Jr. and one grandson, Quavion Robinson of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Bernard (Chrissy) McFadden of Kingstree, SC; one sister, Sherri McFadden of Florence, SC; three aunts, Ola Mae McFadden, Julia McFadden, and Gloria Burgess all of Kingstree, SC; two special cousins, Osborne McFadden and Saleah McFadden of Kingstree, SC; a dear friend, Robert Jones of Lake City, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
