Queen Elizabeth Williams

Queen Elizabeth Williams was born in Florence County on December 6, 1943, to the late Robert and Lear McCutcheon. She departed this life on September 13, 2022, at her loving home.

Queen was educated in the Florence County School District. She attended Shady Grove Baptist church.

Queen joined hands in holy matrimony to the late Charles H. Williams, Sr. and in their union, they were blessed with nine children, Wanda, Charles Jr., Terrance, Robert, Kelvin, Jammie, Felicia, Christopher, and Latina. Her love for her grandchildren was unconditional. She was known as “Mommy” or “Grandma Queen.”

She enjoyed cooking, walking around the track, going to the Flea market and thrift store, and shopping.

Queen Elizabeth Williams will be remembered for her infectious smile, wit, nurturing and caring spirit who loved her family and friends.

Queen was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles H. Williams, Sr.; late daughter, Wanda G. Williams; four siblings Robert Jr., McCutcheon, Hattie Mae McCutcheon, Willie Albert McCutcheon, and Gary E. McCutcheon.

Queen leaves to cherish in her fond memories: devoted daughters Felicia (Macio) Cooper- Sumter, SC, Latina Williams- Lake City, SC, and the late beloved Wanda G. Williams of Lake City, SC; six loving sons: Mr. Terrance (Tawanda) Williams and Mr. Robert G. Williams, all of Columbia, SC, Mr. Kelvin Williams-Sumter, SC, and Mr. Charles H Williams, Jr., Mr. Jammie A Williams, and Christopher D. Williams, all of Lake City, SC.; thirty grandchildren; her beloved parents, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Lear McCutcheon; one sister, Catherine (Charles) Hall and one brother Bobbie (Sylvania) McCutcheon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
