Phillip Wilson

Mr. Phillip Lamont Otto Wilson, loving son of Mr. Otto Wilson and Ms. Mary Lou Wilson, was born January 25, 1980 in Florence, South Carolina. Phillip entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 3, 2022. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edna and Stella Wilson and his maternal grandparents, Lou Allen and Lillie Mae Edwards.

Phillip was educated in Florence County School District III. He is a graduate of Lake City High School. He was employed by Fiber Industries in Darlington, SC. At an early age, he professed Christ.

Phillip was known by many. Those who knew him knew that he loved Christ, his children, karaoke, and his bike. Much of his conversation was about Christ, which often prompted an impromptu concert—boy would he sing. He loved working on and riding his bike. He was a member of the 360 Degree Bike Club and a loyal New England Patriot fan. Phillip was hard working and fun loving.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving father, Otto Wilson (Olanta, SC); a loving mother, Mary Lou Wilson (Coward, SC); Three adoring daughters, Parsha Wilson, Latashia Wilson (Lanes, SC) and Nigel Wilson (Columbia, SC); One sister, Angela Zeiss (Douglas) of Jacksonville, FL; Four paternal uncles, James Wilson (Linda Ann), David Wilson (Barbara), Larry Wilson (Linda) all of Olanta, SC, and Kenneth Wilson (Janice) of Florence, SC; Six paternal Aunts, Pastor Dallas McElveen and Edna Durrette of Florence, SC, Bessie Jones of Olanta, SC and Carolyn Wilson of Lynchburg, SC, and Deloris Benbow (John) of Effingham, SC; One maternal uncle, Lou Allen Edwards, Jr. (Gloria) of Scranton, SC; Three maternal aunts, Beatrice Brown and Lucille McCray of Coward, SC and Rosa McMillan of Lake City, SC; Two special nieces and one nephew, Amaris Reedy, Aniela Zeiss, and Johnathan Zeiss; a special friend, Brittany Singletary. ; Four devoted friends, Larry Session, Edward Harrison, Terry Johnson and Anice Locket; A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
