Ms. Leoro Burgess

Leroro “Yi” Burgess daughter of the late Mr. Jonah Burgess and Marie Burgess born in Cades, SC. She attended school in Williamsburg County. She worked at Carter Mills of Lake City, SC for ten years. She was a member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Hebron, SC. She was blessed with two loving children, the late Shirley Wilson, and Charles (Debra) Burgess.

On Tuesday Morning, October 13, 2020, she gave her life to Christ due to her illness. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Lee Burgess and Joshua Burgess; one sister Eliza Jane Gamble and one special nephew Charles "Chi" Burgess, where they wait at the great gates.

She leaves to cherish her memories six adorable grandchildren: Corsica (Kelly) Cameron, Jarmica Burgess, Ryan Burgess, DeCharles (Erin) Burgess, Melanie Simmons, Tramaine Burgess, who she raised as her own; four loving sisters: (Twin Sister) Willola Troutman of Flordia, Geneva Burgess of Lake City, SC, Mary Ann Burgess of Lake City, SC, Dianne Marie Burgess of Lake City, SC; five brothers: John Burgess of Cades, SC, Donnie (Anna) Burgess of Cades, SC, Roy Burgess of New York, Paul Burgess of Philadelphia, Benjamin (Margaret) Burgess of Virginia; one special nephew Jerry Burgess, and a host of other nieces and nephews.
