Veronica Fleming Dudley was born in Kingstree, SC, on April 28, 1945 to William Chappelle Fleming and Mamie Fulton Fleming. Veronica was the 1st daughter of 8 children to this union. In addition to her parents. She was preceded by Thaddeus Fleming (brother), Deborah Stanley (Sister), and Arthur Fleming (brother). Our, "Beloved" mother, Veronica, affectionately know as,"Roni",transitioned on, Monday November 30th 2020. Veronica was a graduate of Carver High School class of 1962, advancing from 10th to 12th grade. Graduating in the top 5 in her class. Upon graduating high school, she furthered her education by continuing to "Kate Bitting School of Nursing" ( Katie B), in Winston Salem, NC, Registered Nurse. 1963-1967 then attended," Oglethorpe College", Atlanta, GA continuing her education - Adult Psychology 1973. Completing her education at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN, receiving a, "Nurse Practitioner diploma; in Maternal and Child Health and Family planning, receiving a reciprocity license, which allowed her to practice in NC, SC, and GA. Veronica was, Carolinas Hospital System first Nurse of the year, Florence S.C. (1996), After being unanimously voted by her peers and co- workers. Over the years she has worked numerous job pertaining to the medical and health care field.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Carla Rogers of Columbia ,SC, Guillaume Richardson of Columbia, SC, Michael Richardson of Greenville, SC, Matthew Richardson of Columbia, SC; grandchildren: Summer McCrary, Autumn McCrary, Rainy McCrary, Johnathan Augilar, Kaylen Richardson; other family members: Chappelle R. Fleming (Waudine) of Columbia, SC; Ralph L. Fleming (Jeanette) of Lake City, SC; Rufus Fleming (Cynthia) of Richmond, VA; Sondra F. Cosby of Lake City, SC; Geraldine F. James (maternal aunt) of Newark, NJ; Innette F. Cooper (paternal aunt) of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends to cherish her memories, grace, class, humble spirit, and beautiful smile.
