Mrs. Tearetha Fulmore Hawkins, daughter of the late Raymond Fulmore and Cola Fulmore, was born in Williamsburg County on October 2, 1934. She was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County. At an early age, she was converted and joined Mount Beulah United Methodist Church. She was dedicated to the work of the Lord and always expressed compassion for doing what she could in serving. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and served faithfully on the kitchen committee. Tearetha was a shining example of love to her family, friends, and community.
Tearetha was employed by the McAllister family for over 40 years and for McAllister Motors for many years.
In addition to her parents Raymond and Cola Fulmore, a granddaughter Hannah K. Hawkins preceded her in death.
Tearetha was blessed with longevity and continuously poured out love to all who knew her. Tearetha fought a good fight, finished her course, and kept her faith until God called her home on Monday, June 27, 2022, at MUSC Hospital in Florence, SC.
She leaves to mourn her passing a devoted daughter, Bonnie Hawkins McKenzie of Lake City, SC; a devoted son Spencer Demont Hawkins (Angela) of Florence, SC; four grandchildren; Devin, CeDesia, Frederick, and JaKaila; two sisters Evangelist Laura Wright of Hillside, NJ, and Barbara Cooper of Elizabeth, NJ; and an aunt Inez Fulmore of Patterson NJ; and a host of devoted cousins, many friends and kind neighbors.
