Mrs. Tammy Williams

Tammy Williams departed this life on September 3, 2020, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

The story of Tammy Williams started October 28th, 1969, in Queens, NY, born to Thaddeus Williams and Gloria Cooper. Tammy attended the public schools of Florence School District Three. She graduated from Lake City High School in 1987, where she was a cheerleader and played the clarinet on the band. She also attended Florence-Darlington Tech and Benedict College.

Tammy worked at Talon until it closed. She then went to Wal-Mart where she was employed until her illness. She is known at Wal-Mart for her smile and courteous manner to the customers.

Tammy is known for her infectious smile and delicious pound cake. She was an easy-going, loving, and caring person and was always willing to do what she could to help anyone.

In March of 1990, Tammy welcomed into her life a baby boy, Adrain. Then in January of 2000, she welcomed her baby girl, Tasharra. Tammy adored her children and thanked God every day for bringing them into her life. Loved ones that cleared the path for Tammy: Grandparents; Willie G. Cooper and Thomas and Martha Williams; aunts, Renell Coletrain and Deborah Williams: uncles, Larry Cooper, Gregory Cooper, Frank Williams, and Michael Williams; and cousin, Stacy Cooper.

Loved ones who remain; Son, Adrain Williams (Lake City SC), Daughter Tasharra McClam (Lake City SC), Mother Gloria Tisdale(Lake City SC), Father Thaddeus Williams (Sumter SC), sister Kimberly Tisdale (Lake City SC), brother; Darwin Williams (North Carolina), Grandmother Othenia Cooper, (Lake City SC) granddaughter, “Her pride and Joy” Amiya Williams (Bluffton SC), Uncles; Gerald Cooper (Lake City SC), John Wallace Williams (Scranton SC); Doug (Sarah Mae) Williams (Scranton SC) , William Cooper (Lake City SC); Aunts; Robin Copper (Lake City, SC), Jacqueline Cooper (Lake City SC); Francina Mitchell (Pikesville, MD); Allie Paulette Graham, (Lake City SC); Diane(Selwyn) Malloy (Houston, TX), and Tammy’s “BIG GIRL” as she would call her niece, Ashlynn Tisdale (Lake City SC), niece, Velvet McKenzie, and a host of cousins and friends that Tammy held close to heart.
