Mrs. Shirley Ann Simon

Shirley Ann Simon is the daughter of Mary Sowers and the late Luther Sowers. She departed this life peacefully on July 2, 2022, at McLeod Hospital in Florence, SC.

Shirley attended the public schools in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from Kensington High School.

Shirley was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and loved each time she had the opportunity to attend services and commune with her church family. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed cooking.

Those who contribute and share the joy of her life and who will always cherish her memories are her Husband: Early Simon; Mother: Mary Sowers; Sisters: Barbara (Albert) Anderson of Lake City, SC, Kennia Kennedy of Bishopville, SC; Brother: Levern (Angela) Sowers of Philadelphia, PA; Aunts: Perl Washinton of Lake City, SC, Lillie Brown, Alberta Graham, Annir Ruth Sowers, and Hazalene Graham all of Olanta, SC. Special Nephew: Shawn Sowers, Special Cousins: Rugenar Sowers and Emma Singletary; Sisters-in-law: Catherma Simon (the late Jerry) Simon, Naomi (the late Leroy) Simon, and Margret (the late Mack) McMillian; Brothers-in-law: Douglas Simon and William (the late Joyce) Nowlin; Caretakers she loved so much Keyonia Cameron and Sandra Powell; and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Shirley was preceded in death by her Son: Leon Simon, Father: Luther Sowers; Sisters: Mary Myers, Martha Sowers, and Betty Johnson; Sisters-in-law: Earlena (Otto) Graham and Joyce Nowlin.
