Juanita Chandler Farrington was born on July 1, 1957 in Lake City, SC to the late Mrs. Dorothy Fulton Bostick and the late Mr. Robert McClester. Juanita attended the public schools of Lake City, SC, graduating from Lake City High School in 1973. She attended North Carolina A & T State University “Aggie Pride” and graduating with a B.S. Degree in Nursing.
Juanita worked as a Dialysis and Rehab Nurse at Moses Cane Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Before marrying and relocating to Chapel Hill, NC. After 30 years at UNC health, Juanita moved to Myrtle Beach, SC, to be closer to her sisters and other family members.
At an early age Juanita joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lake City, SC. Juanita loved to travel, go camping and spending time with family and friends. She was always there for family members, helping out and giving advice. Juanita is preceded in death by one sister: Mrs. Hessie Chandler York.
Juanita leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband: Ross A Farrington; her son: Jordan Chandler Farrington, both of Myrtle Beach, SC; her mother and father-in-laws: Mr and Mrs. Ross L and Dorothea Farrington of Chapel Hill, SC; her sisters: Lorine Chandler and Marie (Charles) Gamble of Lake City, SC, Betty Lowery of Philadelphia, PA, Ronlena McClester of Florence, SC, Myrann Hampton of Columbia, SC, Sywnett Roberts of San Antonio, TX and Menyorn Oliver of Manning , SC and a sister-in-law: Carmilla Farrington of Atlanta, GA, one. Brother: Bernard Quattlebaum of Sumter, SC; three aunts: Mrs. Shirley Nesby of Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Rubie Fulton and Mrs. Rebecca Fulton both of Kingstree, SC, nieces and nephews: Monica Chandler of Lake City, SC, Tonya (Travis) Burgess of Mint Hill, NC, Sharise (Keith) Lloyd of Concord, NC, Nelson (Gwen) York of Monroe, NC, Pamela York or Florence, SC, Melva York of Charlotte, NC, Dinah and Shenelle Gamble of Lake City, SC, Joy (Allen) McGill of Delmar, NY and Natissa Oliver of Florence, SC; god-son: Datron McFadden and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ross and Jordan would like to thank the family for rallying to support and comfort of Juanita, especially during her final weeks Juanita felt unconditional love, support and care, specifically Lorine’s companionship, Marie and Charles’s devotion and the family for showing your love that always uplifted Juanita’s spirits. We'd like to especially thank Juanita's friend and neighbor Jacqui & Jim Haynes of Myrtle Beach, SC who went the extra mile to visit and comfort Juanita during her most difficult days. We'd also like to acknowledge Pierre, her favorite pet. Juanita adored Pierre, Pierre would not leave Juanita's bedside during her illness.
