Mrs. Eula Mae Hanna

Eula “Mae" Hanna was born March 18, 1928, in Clarendon County. She was the daughter of the late Grace Major and was raised by Tom & Sue Wilder. Mae exchanged vows in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie “Son” Hanna.

Mae accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a life-long and dedicated member of The House of God No. 1 Holiness Church in Cades, South Carolina, under the leadership of Bishop Amos Major. Mae served for many years as a mother of the church, a member of the senior choir as well as served on the kitchen committee. Mae dedicated her life to her family and community through sharing her many gifts; including canning, cooking, and quilting.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend answered the Master's call to come home and take her eternal rest.

She was proceeded in death by her husband: Wille “Son” Hanna; a daughter: Susan Ella Godwin; six brothers: David Major Sr., Albert Lee Major, Earnest Major, Nathaniel Major, Alphonso Major Sr., and Wallace Major; and one sister: Olivia Beard

She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Linda Hanna of Florence, SC, Tom (Doris) Hannah of Patterson, NJ, Johnny Hanna of Cades SC, Evangelist Willie Mae (Lovith) Anderson of Lake City, SC, Grace (Willie) Cooper of Kingstree, SC and a grandson, James (Wanda) Hanna whom she reared as her own. Four sisters-in-law: Annie Pearl Major of Deerfield Beach, FL, Pearl Graham of Brooklyn, NY, Gertie Mae Major, and Johnnie Mae Major both of Lake City, SC. 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
