Mr. Willie McFadden

​Willie McFadden, affectionately known as “Tallboy’’, was born October 5th, 1958, in Clarendon County. Willie is the son of the late, Bertha McFadden and the late Joseph McFadden. He was raised by his aunt and uncle Lula (Tom) Burgess in the Barrineau community, who also preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Flora Mae, Gloria Jean, Elenna McFadden, Cynthia McFadden, and one brother Howard McFadden. He received his formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County, where he was an excellent Basketball Player. In 1979, he graduated from East Clarendon High School. Even though he loved basketball, he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan. Willie was employed at Ragsdale of Lake City, South Carolina, and later became employed at Coles Carpet for the past thirty-plus years. At an early age, he attended Hickory Grove AME church, and later on, he met the love of his life, Linda W. McFadden, whom he joined in holy matrimony, and then he joined Saint Mark Holiness Church of Lake City, South Carolina. Those left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife of twenty-five years, Linda W. McFadden. Two loving daughters Zaria McFadden of Lake City, SC, and Alexis Nicole Graham of Stone Mountain, Georgia. A mother-in-law Martha Wilson of Lake City, SC. Nine Sisters Ora Lee McFadden and Mattie McFadden of Lake City, SC. Cerina (Terry) Cameron of Lake City, SC. Josephine McFadden of Lake City, SC Mattie Rose of New Zion, SC. Albertha McFadden of Stuckey, SC, Denise (Harrison) Ukome of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Lois Ann (Charles) McElveen of Olanta, SC. Three brothers Raymond McFadden of Turbeville, SC; John (Shavonne Saptes) Bell of Lake City, SC, and Charles (Octavia) McFadden of Charlotte, NC, and one aunt Mrs. Adell Moore, New Haven, Connecticut. Five brothers-in- law like a brother Walter (Carolyn) Frieson, Corey(Jennifer) Wilson, Samuel Wilson, and Derrick(Lisa) Wilson. Special nephews like bothers, Jeffery(LaShona) McFadden, and Rev. Michael (Jessica)Singletary, Steve (Debbie) Cunningham; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
