Mr. Willie Edward "Billy" Barr

Willie Edward “Billy” Barr was born on November 8, 1935 in Lake City, South Carolina. He was the son of the late King Barr and Anna Johnson Barr. He departed this life on February 1, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.

Billy was married to the late Margie Juanita Barr. To this union five children were born. He was employed with C. J. Evans Building Supply, Lake City Building Supply and T and B Paints, before his retirement.

Billy was preceded in death by his siblings: Josephine McFadden, Jannie Bell Hanna, Ruby Brown, Dorothy Dicks and Gloria Jean Carlyle.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: two sons, Nathaniel Powell and Fernander (Barbara) Barr of Lake City, SC; four daughters, Barbara Henry (George Wheeler) of Scranton, SC; Kasandra (Timothy) Graham and Margaret Brown both of Lake City, SC and Ablean Hanna of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren: Robert (Shona) Henry, Randall Hanna and Tyler Hanna of Columbia, SC; Shawn (Levada) Graham of Acworth, GA, Brent (Courtney) Brown of North Charleston, SC, Makayla Barr, Katelyn Barr and Brandy Singletary of Lake City, SC; three sisters-in-law, Lucile Duffin of Durham, NC, Christine Gamble of Florence, SC and Thara Hickson of Lake City, SC; five great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
