Mr. Sidney Kennedy

Mr. Sidney Kennedy slipped into eternal life on June 28, 2022, in McLeod Hospital of Florence, South Carolina. He was born in Florence County on September 7, 1957, a son of the late Iona “Taddy” Brown Kennedy and grandson of Richard and Claudia Barr Brown.

Sidney lived his entire life in Lake City, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Florence County and at an early age, he joined the Greater St. James A.M.E Church. Sidney was a loving and caring father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was considerate, generous, kind, and caring; always ready to help in moments of need serving his family, friends, and the community. Sidney has left many meaningful and happy memories for those who knew and loved him that will last their lifetimes.

Sidney worked many years at T.S. Ragsdale Company and Coker Oil, Inc., in Lake City, South Carolina. He held various jobs during his early childhood into his adult life supporting his family, friends, and the community. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.

Sidney was preceded in death by his siblings: Randolph “Peter Rabbit”, Melvina, Delores, Patricia, Melanie, Joyce, and Cornell “Daddy”.

Sidney leaves to cherish his memories, a son: Sidney O’Neal Bryant (Christine) of Lake City, SC; six grandchildren: Nyzeria Bryant, Unique Bryant, Harmony Bryant, Jacquan Bryant of Lake City, SC, Shyquan Bryant and LaMakkah Bryant of Charlotte, NC; a stepdaughter: Aimee Singletary; three step-grandchildren: Ashley Singletary, Kim Singletary, and Jamie Singletary of Florence, SC. A loving Caring, and devoted niece Angenette Daniels (Lester) of Woodbridge, VA; a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
