Mr. Russell Flowers

On Thursday, January 28, 2021, God summoned the soul of His servant, Mr. Russell Flowers from labor to reward. Russell, affectionately known as “Hokey,” son of the late John Flowers, Jr. and late Hallie Mae Flowers was born September 4, 1963 in Florence County, SC. He completed his formal education at Lake City High School and graduated in 1982.

In his youth, Russell joined Ninevah United Methodist Church, where he attended until his health failed. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Russell was a former employer with Carter Mills and Wellman, Inc until his health declined.

“Hokey” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, left a void in the hearts of those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Hallie Mae Flowers; two sisters: Rutha Mae Pringle and Fredrey Ann Cooper; one brother: Joseph Pringle.

Those remain to cherish his memory, one sister: Ella Marie (Roger) Epps of Lake City, SC ; three brothers: Tony Flowers and Willie Flowers of Lake City, SC; John (Clara) Flowers of Scranton, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, relatives, and dear friends
