Mr. Gerry Glenn McFadden

We have joined together in the presence of the Lord to express our love for Lake City's Gentle Giant, Gerry Glenn McFadden..." Big Man" or "Big G". He's a son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.



Early Thursday morning, October 29, 2020, God saw Gerry's body becoming tired weary. He touched Gerry softly and said, "come unto me".

Gerry attended Cades-Hebron Elementary School until the eighth grade. His high school years were at Lake City High School where he was one of the best defensive linemen to come through LCHS. Afterward, Gerry attended Charleston Southern University to study computer technology. Later, he came back home and worked at Lake City's Shrimper for numerous of years.



He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Creola Lee and Addie McFadden; grandfathers: Roland Lee and Sherwood McFadden; two aunts: Eva Mae Graham and Carnetha McFadden; four uncles: Alphonzo Lee, Michael McFadden, Lonnie McFadden, and Andrew McFadden, Sr., five cousins: Nicole, Kalvin, Faye, Andrew Jr., and Marty.



Gerry was known by many and loved by all his family and friends. He was always helpful regardless of any situation. His gentle smile, crazy laugh, and huge heart spread all over. He always had a smile and encouraging words. No matter what pain he was in, he didn't want to disappoint anyone.



Gerry Glenn McFadden, better known as " Big Man" or "Big G" will be sadly missed by many. He leaves to cherish his precious memories is his loving companion of twenty-six years: Francina Kinsey; step-son: Charles Douglas Kinsey; parents: Willie Earl and Betty Ann McFadden; sister: Theresa (LeKiter) McFadden Graham; two brothers: Philip (Tomina) Singletary and Robby (Trish) Lee; step-mom: Carolyn Allen; four nieces: Brianna, NaKayla, Katelynn, and Aubrey; one nephew: Willie Jerome; eleven aunts, ten uncles, seven stepbrothers, and sisters: Newton, Chasity, Brandi, Kenneth, Sharon, Monique; and a host of cousins and friends.
