Mother Elmena Frierson

Mother Elmena Graham Frierson, born on May 3, 1931. On the morning of March 17, 2023 after a short illness, she passed away at her residence surrounded by her family. Born to the late Larry Douglas Graham and Alease Eaddy Graham. She was the “Matriarch” of the Frierson Family.

Everyone knew she loved the Lord and the Church. She accepted Christ into her heart at an early age.

She is a member of St. Matthew Holiness Church of Lake City, SC. She was an active member of the church. She was on the Senior Choir, Usher Board, she was the Secretary of the Annual Conventions and she was on the Mother’s Board.

She worked for Williamsburg County School District for many years and later retired. She was married to the Late Deacon Troy Frierson Sr. She had one daughter and one grandson that preceded her in death: Dorothy Frierson and Naafhi Dominique Frierson Brooks. She also had three sisters and eight brothers who preceded her in death: Frances Fulmore, Daisy Bell Green, Mary Brayboy, James Edwin, OT Graham, Leonard (Coota) Graham, Arthur Graham, Larry Graham, Johnnie Graham, Jackie Graham and Henry Graham.

She leaves to cherish her memories: ten children: Elease (Gillie) Fulton, Troy Frierson, Violet Burgess, Marie Frierson, Delores Frierson, Benjamin Frierson, Zeda Frierson, Emma Singletary, Elder Eddie (Wanda) Frierson, and Harry (Carolyn) Frierson; three sisters: Fannie Fulmore, Evangelist Lillie Graham, Naomia Graham; three brothers: Ollen (Mary) Graham, Hosea (Ammie) Graham, Dublin (Lananza) Graham; two special grandsons: Joshua Frierson and Kelwin Frierson; and a host of other grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
