Marshall S. McCutcheon I

Marshall Samuel McCutcheon I, the youngest child of late Roscoe Sr. and Leola Frierson McCutcheon, was born in Lake City, South Carolina on December 22, 1943. He entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Florence, South Carolina.

Marshall received his formal education in the public schools of Florence County. He earned his Carpentry License from Arial Trade in Denmark, South Carolina. He later joined the United States Army.

Marshall was married to the late Berthena “Buddy” McCullough. That union was blessed with three adoring children.

At an early age, Marshall joined Wesley United Methodist Church and accepted Christ as his personal savior.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Sr. and Leola McCutcheon; a sister: Helen Rainwater; daughter: Major Tamara Denise McCutcheon.

Loved ones left to cherish his memories are his loving children, one daughter: Karen Jones of Hampton Virginia; one son: Marshall Samuel II (Stephanie Blakley) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; siblings: Mary C. Howard of Buffalo, New York, Lela Mae Graham of Kingstree, South Carolina and Thomas McCutcheon of Lake City, South Carolina, Celestine James of Denver, CO, Roscoe McCutcheon Jr. of Beaufort, NC; sisters-in-law: Jeannette (Wilson) Bennett and Cusandra McCray and Mallison (Teresa) McCullough both of Rochester, New York; eight grandchildren, one great-grand, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
