Mother Lottie Bell Felder Frierson, daughter of the late Raleigh and Idelia Butler Felder, was born July 1, 1947, in Florence County, South Carolina. She stepped on board that morning train early Monday morning, July 11, 2022.
Mother Lottie received her formal education in the public schools of Florence County, South Carolina. Oh, how she loved the Lord. She received Christ at a very early age. You would often hear her testify when she was a little girl, they brought her to the Apostolic Faith Church of Christ under the leadership of the late Senior Bishop Benjamin Graham. There she joined St. Matthews Holiness Church and served as a faithful servant under the leadership of Pastor, Vice Bishop Vernon Feggans.
Mother Lottie worked in various capacities in the church serving as Local President of the Missionary Department, President of Pastor’s Aide Committee, National Women’s Conference Secretary, Assistant Sunday School Teacher, President of Senior Choir, and Coordinator of Annual Joy Week.
She would travel to North Carolina and New York with the church to help support the services. Her passion in life was helping those in need who crossed her path. She would tell you like the song says, “If you need a hand, I’ve help you if I can.” She never met a stranger. She would travel far and near in the community to attend church services.
If you came across her path, you would hear her talking about the goodness of Jesus and all he had done for her. She was employed at Skyline Manufacturing in Coward, SC for over 25 years and she also worked at KlearNet Industry in Florence, SC, and Yopp Inc. After working in manufacturing, Mother Lottie started a daycare in her home where she would care for 15+ children during their summer breaks each summer. During her spare time, she attended the Senior Center in Lake City, SC which she enjoyed, and met so many wonderful people.
Mother Lottie cherished her children, grandchildren, and her great grands. All of her siblings found a friend in her.
Her husband, Edward Frierson; two brothers, Raleigh Felder Jr. and Robert Wayne Felder preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory. Her children - Sandra (Jaward) McClam of Florence, SC, Carolina Jackson of Florence, SC, Ethel Robinson of Memphis, TN, and Terese Frison of Atlanta, GA. Six grandchildren – Terrell Frison, Kanisha Smith, Rashawn McClam, Jawaun McClam, Deona Frison, and Terbrea Frison. Four great-grandchildren -Trenton, Amaria, Trenity, and Alexandria.
