Loretta Ann Singletary

Loretta Ann (Peanut) Singletary, daughter of Fannie Sue Singletary and the late Theodore Singletary was born on September 1, 1979. She was reared by her grandmother the late Mrs. Essie Mae State. As a child she joined Little Star Holiness Church. She attended the Public Schools of Florence School District 3, where she graduated the Class of 1998. While attending high school, she joined the United States Army Reserves. She was a member of the 1052nd Transportation Unit of Kingstree, SC from 1997 – 2002. After an honorable discharge, she went back to school and earned a degree in Business Management. She was employed by Allegiance (Nan Ya Plastics) for over 15 years. She left there and worked at Walmart until her health failed. Also while working at Walmart she worked as a community counselor (PRN) for Precise Care Transport of Marion, SC. Her hobbies included cooking, volunteering in the community and spending time with her family.
On September 28th God called our beloved “Peanut” home from the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother Jermaine Singletary.
She leaves to cherish her loving and most memorable memories to her two sons Jermaine and Jeremy Hall. They were the light in her life. She also leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother: Mrs. Fannie Sue Singletary; her stepfather: Mr. Tommie Smith; two caring sisters: Ms. Deloris Singletary and Mrs. Rillia Singletary (Maurice) Barron both of Lake City, SC; three brothers: Mr. Rontell Singletary, Mr. Phil (Velma) State of Kentucky, Mr. Tyrone State of Columbia, SC and a very faithful and loving sister-in-law: Mrs. Rosalind State; an aunt: Easter Bell Burgess of Lake City, SC; adopted parents: Bennie and Geneva Commander of Florence, SC; an adopted aunt: Annie Dobson; three nieces: Ms. Quanesha and Ms. Breanna Singletary and Ms. Ericka Williams; two nephews: Mr. Tyre and Mr. Kam’Ron; two great-nephews; a cousin who was reared like a brother: Mr. Sammy Dubson; a step-sister: Ms. Alanas Scott; two step-sons: Mr. Jaheim and Justin Hall; four loving: Aunts Ann Smith of Turbeville, SC, Dilcey State of Pompano Beach, FL, Neomi (Robert) Burgess of Camerontown, SC and Ivory Dell Stagger of Kingstree, SC; one uncle: Mr. Allen Singletary of Lake City, SC; two very special cousins: Ms. Tasheema McCray and Marqo Taylor; a host of very dear friends: Mrs. Debra Black, Teresa Graham, Catrina Bingham, Idell Singletary, Lakitisha Dubose Teresa McKight, Tammy Hannah and Mae and Tom Moore; host of very dear cousins and adopted aunts and uncles, and friends, and the Class of 1998.
