John Moses Legette

Sunset:April 29, 2020

On Wednesday morning, April 29, 2020, at MUSC, Florence, SC, John answered the masters call to come home and take his eternal rest.



John Moses Leggette Jr. Was born June 10, 1969, to the late John Moses Sr. and Vivian Leggette. He was born in Rochester, NY. He later moved to South Carolina where he furthered his education at the public schools. He was employed as Nan Ya Plastics in Lake City, SC where he worked for over 20 years until; his health declined. John as he was affectionately called and accepted God as his personal savior at an early age. He was a member of St. Matthew Holiness Church where he served faithfully. John always had a smile on his face.



He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted and loving wife of 15 years, Tashayne C. Leggette; six children Jontre’ and Shayla Leggette of the home, Diamond and Jayden Legette of Johnsonville, SC, Jamaya Leggette of Hemingway, SC, Alexandria Leggette of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Dana (Andrea) Falthan of Stanford, VA, Denise Leggette of Olanta, SC, and Lazettia Leggette of Columbia, SC; five props to Mary Williams who precede him in death. Deloris Graham, Marilyn Hemingway both of Lake City, SC, Gracie Herbert of Georgetown, SC and Joyce Wilcox of Rochester, NY; Two uncles George Leggette and Frank Leggette both of Andrews, SC; mother-in-law, Ruby Cooper of Lake City, SC; father-in-law, Jimmie Bizzle of Lake City, SC; one sister-in-law; Shalada (John Jr.) Singletary of Lake City, SC; two brothers-in-law, Lenardo Cooper and Tony Singletary Jr. both of Lake City, SC and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
