On Friday, April 29, 2022 Joan Fulmore "Lily Pop" departed this life peacefully at McLeod Hospice & Palliative Care of Florence, SC. Joan was born to the late Ernest Fulmore, Sr. and Verlie Graham on March 29, 1952 in Florence, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother Roosevelt Fulmore Sr.
Joan was educated in the Florence County Public School System. A graduate of Carver High School Lake City, SC, Class of 1970. Joan was a lifelong member of Mt. Beulah U.M. Church. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Joan served on many capacities: Member of Young Adult Choir, United Methodist Women, Custodian and Nominating Committee.
Joan was employed at Delta Mills of Pamplico, SC for 30 years of which she received award of Perfect Attendance for 25 Years. Followed by employment at McLeod Hospital of Florence, SC where she retired. Then working part-time at Santee Electric of Lake City, SC until her health declined.
Joan was a Dedicated and Humble person. Joan was a mother to all the children in the family. Loving, Dependable and had a Heart of Gold. She always gave Unconditional Love, never being judgmental. Always checking to see what else she could do. Joan spent many years taking care of her parents relentlessly.
