Jermal D. Fulmore

Lake City, SC--Jermal Duane Fulmore, 34, entered eternal rest on February 10, 2023, in Florence, SC. He was born in Florence, SC on September 19, 1988, to Darrell and Savannah Hanna and was the oldest of two children. Jermal was raised in Lake City, SC and attended Florence County Public Schools until he graduated from Lake City High School in 2006.


After graduating high school in 2006 Jermal decided to continue his education at Claflin University, and then later, in 2017, decided to enlist into the United States Navy. Jermal served in the Navy as an engineer for a total of seven years, traveling across the world and exploring the adventures as a Navy Seal, honored to protect our country. Jermal was a member of the Prince Hall lodge Corinthian #11 and also part of Ethopia chapter #60 of the Holy Royal Arch Masons.


Throughout his life, Jermal worked several jobs including IGA (Lake City, SC), Pizza Hut (Lake City, SC), Nan Ya Plastics Corporation (Lake City, SC), and Wallace’s Old Fashion Skins (Florence, SC). Outside of the traditional workplace, Jermal was a handyman. Anything that needed to be fixed, he could handle.


Jermal cared deeply about his family and loved to talk about history. Any topic that you could think of, he was well versed and ready to give you the rundown on his opinion. Some of his favorite topics to talk about were politics, sports, the military, and Christ.


His life will be remembered and cherished in the lives of his parents Darrell and Savannah Hanna of Lake City, SC, sister Dai’Shaune Hanna of Tega Cay, SC, grandparents Patricia (Clyde) Leonard of Florence, SC, Louis (Arlene) Ellerbee of Paterson, NJ, Rosa Nell (Walter) Singletary of Lake City, SC, and Roger (Mary) Montgomery of Irvington, NJ, aunts and uncles LaVern Allen, Qasheem McWhite, Dornna Whitherspoon, Louis Allen, and Rasheem McWhite, all of Paterson, NJ, Jessica (Antoine) McCullough of Florence, SC, Shawn Hanna, and Sheena Caesar, of Lake City, SC, Darien (Nakita) Hanna of Greenville, SC, Silvester (Melissa) Fulmore of Charlotte, NC, and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends with a special shoutout to Glen and Josh.


Jermal Fulmore was preceded in death by great grandparents Dosher Mae (Author) Mckenzie, and Katie Lee (Malachia)Hanna, all of Lake City, SC, and a host of great aunt and uncles.
