Gail Williease Presley Thomas entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2022. Gail, the daughter of the late Willie Presley and the late Estella Graham Presley, was born on June 26, 1965 in Florence, South Carolina. She attended and received her education from the public schools in Lake City, South Carolina and was a proud graduate and active member of the Class of 1983. Gail also attended Florence-Darlington Technical College. Gail began her work career at Wal-Mart in Lake City and continued with the company for 30 years until her health forced her to retire.
Gail was a faithful servant to St. Paul AME Church in Cades, South Carolina. There she attended from youth up until adulthood, she accepted Christ at an early age. At St. Paul AME, she served on many auxiliaries. Gail was a Trustee, a Church School Leader, and also worked on the Finance Committee. She was also one of the Co-Captains of Graham’s Friends and Family Day, a program begun by her mother to honor and memorialize the deceased family members.
Gail was loved and adored by many, leaving an everlasting mark on all whom was blessed to come in contact with her. She loved her family and was there to aid and assist in any and every capacity. With Gail, you never felt like a stranger in her presence.Conversations was light and joyable and her laugh was contagious. You always knew when Gail was in the building. She was an only child but had many brothers and sisters. Spoiled by her Dad and even more spoiled and protected by her cousins older and younger. Gail had a large heart and she left a piece of it with us all left behind.
Left behind to cherish Gail memories are her loving daughter: Alexus Estella Symone Butler Presley; her loving son: Jovan Willie DeMarius Presley McMillian; of Lake City, SC; her heart string her grandchildren: Markes Cameron Presley McCutcheon, Kai’leign McDonald, Amari Tyshawn Hanna, Aaden Mykhi Thomas; four God children she loved dearly: Cedric O Page, Sheena (Desmond) Jackson, Antonio (Bianca) Timmons, Precious Graham; her 3 bonus children: LouKisha Brayboy, Demarco Brayboy, DeAnna Brayboy; a loving caring friend: Irvin McMillian.
A whole lot of first cousins (too many to name) who Gail took as her sisters and brothers and even more second cousins she took as nieces and nephews. Lastly many dear and special friends especially Class of 1983 whom she held close to her heart. The root was deep and branches even longer.
