Franklin L. Burgess

Franklin Lerone Burgess was born September 28, 1970 to Dorothy Burgess and Lerone Burgess, in Pompano Beach, Florida. He was educated in the public school system of Georgetown County. He was joined in holy matromony to Kristal L. Dicks on December 31, 1998. To this union four children were born in which one preceded him in death: Franchesca LeRhonda Burgess. Franklin was called to his eternal rest on April 8, 2021.

Franklin was employed with Wards Fish Market in Lake City, SC for many years until his health declined.

Franklin, known to his close friends as “Breed”, was a kind and caring person. Prior to the decline of his health, he enjoyed shooting pool, he enjoyed the game of basketball, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children, they all were his pride and joy. Franklin was also a “Die Hard” Miami Dophins fan. Besides all these special things Franklin loved to do, the GREATEST of them all was as of January of this year 2021, he accepted Christ as his lord and savior.

Franklin was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Burgess and maternal grandmother Alice Brown.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Kristal Burgess; his hour children: Rochelle T. Waterman, Xavier C. Burgess, Christian L. Burgess, and Kristina N.J. Burgess; mother-in-law: Deborah Dicks of Lake City, SC, his only surviving aunt: Mrs. Pearlese Barron of Lake City, SC. He also had a few special close family and friends: Tommy Barron, Stacy Burgess, Louis Henry, Elton Cooper, Dominique Cooper and a host of cousins and other relatives.
