Eugene McElveen

Eugene Abraham McElveen was born on May 9, 1964 in Florence County where was educated and lived his entire life. He worked in construction until his retirement.

Eugene was a kindhearted, gentle and good person. He would do anything for anyone. He loved reading the bible and spending time with family and friends.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Ella who he affectionately called “Boo”, one son, Tremayne Hickson
and grandchildren Nolan and Ny’ava. He is also survived by brothers Nathaniel McElveen, Raymond (Mary) McElveen, Jerry (Queen) McElveen, James (Brenda) Daniel, Harry (Wanda) Smith, sister Rosemary (Antonio) Cockfield, Sister-n-laws, Linda Whack Hailes, Betty (Bernard) Whack McFadden, Julia Campbell, Evangeline Whack and Brother-n-law, Leroy Whack. Eugene will be missed by Niece, Shannon Cockfield-Epps along with a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Predeceasing Eugene are his parents, Robert and Malvenia McElveen, brothers Joseph, JC, Robert Jr, and Thomas McElveen and a sister Eleanor Durant. One grandchild Aidyen also predeceased him.
