David C. Graham affectionately known as “DC” was called to eternal rest on April 12, 2021 at his residence.
David “DC” Graham was born on August 29, 1945 in Cades, South Carolina. He was the sone of Josh Graham Sr and Annie Mae Salters Graham. He was a member of Saint Paul AME Church in Cades, South Carolina. “DC” was an exceptional student and attended Lake City, Public Schools. As a student “DC: painted the partner that remained in the foyer of Ronald E. McNair (formerly Carver High School) for many years. He was an artist and would do caricatures on demand.
David “DC” Graham was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served with distinction. He earned the highest reward for his service. David earned advanced degrees in chemistry and drafting. David worked in management in manufacturing and various other capacities. “DC” was extremely family oriented and never met a stranger. Family meant everything to him. David “DC” Graham was preceded in death by his sisters: Gracie Mae McFadden, Estella Presley, Hazlean Burroughs, Lizzie Fulton; brothers: Josh Graham Jr., Otis Graham, and Earnest Graham; and his daughter: Jacqueline Singletary.
David C. Graham is survived by his daughters: Verna Dean Graham of Kingstree, SC, Shanetta (Vern) Graham Moore of Effingham, SC; grandson: Davion Chakir Graham of the home; seven grandchildren: Sheena (Desmond) Jackson of Covington, GA, Sasha (Sam) Singletary of Lake City, SC, Donnella “Nikki” (Akeem) Washington of Hampton, GA, Dustin Singletary of Lake City, SC, Justin Singletary of Lake City, SC, Previous Britané Graham of Chicago, IL; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister: Willett Montgomery of Lake City, SC, a special great grandchild: Daquavion Singletary and a host of family and friends.
