Avis E. Cooper

Avis McFadden Cooper was born September 1, 1959, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Avis passed into a peaceful rest on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Avis attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. She had several jos during her working career with Colonial Rubber being the longest in years.

Avis was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 14, 1973, where she was a member of the Kingstree Congregation of Kingstree, South Carolina. She remains faithful until death.

After Avis was baptized, some of the things she liked to do spiritually auxiliary pioneer having parts on Tuesday meetings and any other things she enjoyed, such as attending, assembily and early morning street witnessing.

Avis was preceded in death by her youngest daughter: Shaderia Pendergrass; her mother: Ruth Washington; her grandparents who raised her: Willis and Anna McFadden; along with several aunts and uncles.

Avis leaves to cherish her memories her loving and caring husband: Alton Cooper; two daughters: Pamela McFadden and Sherrill (Heavis) Morris of Kingstree, SC; six grandchildren, sever great-grandchildren, father: James (Ruby) Pompey of Kingstree, SC; two loving sisters: Cynthia Moore of Kingstree, SC and Renee Pendergrass of Hartsville, SC; one brother: Benjamin McFadden of Kingstree, SC; one mother-in-law: Mary James of Bronx, NY; one brother-in-law: William of Tampa, FL; two aunts: Johnnie Pompey of Kingstree, SC and Esther (Thomas) Coates of Rock Hill, CT; a host of nieces nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
