Asiayanna U. Green

Sunset: February

I know your hearts are deeply saddened by my passing; but let the memories we created live in your hearts.

I departed my journey on Sunday, February 12, 2023. I didn’t have time to say Good-Bye, when the Master called, I had to answer. There was so much I wanted to do and say to my family but my time here on Earth has expired.

I was born on January 16, 2004 in Florence, SC to Nicole Graham and the late Brodrick Lapaz Green.

I was also preceded in death by my grandfather Joseph Jones.
I received my formal education from Florence County School District 3, and graduated from Lake City High School, Class of 2022. I continued my education at Florida Memorial University, majoring in Business. I was employed at McDonald’s where I loved to deliver smiles to everyone I encountered. In my free time, I enjoyed dancing and was always the life of the party.

To my Mother, Nicole Graham whom I admired. You always told me right from wrong, even when I didn’t want to hear it, I heard you Ma. To the world’s greatest brothers, Savion Player and Markela Green; I know that I shocked you both but please continue to take care of our Mother. To my younger sisters, Myra White and Kinsley Graham, I love both of you dearly. To my grandparents: Terry Green, please don’t cry too much, I’m now with my Daddy. Alphonso (Shirley) Lawson, Thank You for your pep talks and encouraging words whenever I saw you. Lillie (Leroy) Darby, the grandparents who never missed a birthday and helped with my upbringing. To my aunts and uncles: Tashanda, Andrea & Lawrence Graham, y’all never missed a beat please take care of my Mom. Whitney Lawson, Tempestt (Jeremi) McCrea, Rasheem (Alexan) Green and Trayon (Mary) Mathews, Thank You for your endless advice, support, and always being there when I needed you. To my host of cousins, I love each and everyone of you and please don’t delete me from our group chats.

To my Godfather/Godmother, Travis Sherrills and Rochella Jackson, thanks for always being a listening ear and being there when my Father gained his wings.

Shaquanna Cooper, we were inseparable, like two peas in a pod. We shared so much and have so many memories. Thank You for being my Best Friend, blood couldn’t make us closer.

To my Florida Family, Thank You for always taking care of me and being there when I needed you.
