Alex Page Jr. was born October 25, 1956 to the late Henry and Hazlean Graham Burroughs in Williamsburg County, SC. He was the oldest of five children. Jr. as he was affectionately known was elevated from his hard work of labor to receive his crown on September 23, 2021. Alex was educated in the Florence County School where he graduated from Lake City High School in 1976.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Hazlean Burroughs. Alex lived in the Lake City area until his transition. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined St. Paul A.M.E Church of Cades, SC.
In 1976 Alex met and married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Anna L. Walker. From this union they were bless with seven children and forty-three years of marriage.
Alex was employed at Coloniel Rubber, T.S. Ragsdale, Wellman Inc., Palmetto Synthetics, Poole and Nan Ya Plastics until his health started to decline.
Alex was always willing to help anyone that he came in contact with. Especially, when it came to Anna and the grandkids. His favorite quote was “Whatever Anna Said!” He was a member of the Lake City Knight Rider Bike Club where he loved to ride his motorcycle. His favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers and LA Lakers. He was a #1 basketball player on the court.
He leaves to cherish his legacy of love his loving wife: Mrs. Anna L. Walker Page of the home; three devoted daughters: Lene and Melanie Page of the home, Christan Page of Cades, SC; four caring sons: Alva Page of Raleigh, NC, Dominic Page of Los Angeles, CA, Desmond (Kenya) Page of Jacksonville, FL, and Alex Page III of Columbia, SC; eleven grandchildren: Tyrese Page, De’Asija Hicks, Audrah McFadden, Laundrew Page, Ar’Monti Graham, Brycen Graham of the home, Desmond Page Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Alexia, Ameria and Amoria Page of Hartsville, SC, Maliek Joe of Cades, SC; one great-grand: Ja’Layshia Page of Hartsville, SC; three sisters: Gloria Page and Mrs. Rosailyn (Leroy) Burgess of Lake City, SC and Monique Burroughs of Conway, SC; one brother: Billy Burroughs of Conway, SC; three aunts: Williett Montgomery, Sarah Williams of Lake City, SC, Mary (Ernest) Cameron of Winston-Salem, NC; three uncles: Mr. Courtney Burroughs, Charlie (Doloris) Burroughs and Turman Burroughs of Lake City, SC, Abraham (Rosa) Burroughs of Lake City, SC; special nieces and nephews: Lakasha (Gary) Carrington, Shrita Burgess of Lake City, SC, Leroy Burgess of Fort Mill, SC, Henry Burgess of Charlette, NC , Jordan Burroughs of Conway, SC, Michael (Heather) Page of Atlanta, GA, Cedric and Brandon Page of Florence, SC; a loving mother-in-law: Emma Jane Walker of Lake City, SC; three sisters-in-law: Shelly (Bethea) Arthur of Lake City, SC, Hernetha (Paul) Montgomery of Lake City, SC, Catherine (Terry) Greggs of Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers-in-law: James (Rose) McClam of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Sammy (Carolyn) Walker of Lake City, SC; a special friend: Dominique Graham of Scranton, SC; God-daughter: Amelia Muldrow and God-grandson: Reginald Nesbitt of Lake City, SC; a special friends he called his brothers: Hatchet Cooper of Florence, SC and Sammie McClain of Timmonsville, SC, along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other friends who loved him dearly.
